Last Minute Availability for Fishing in the French Mountains 2004 Although most of the guides are fully booked for the season, there remain just a few opportunities to fish for wild brown trout and grayling in the french mountains for the summer season.
5 Days on the River Doubs Dates : 9 - 14 June and 21 - 26 June This is one of France's most famous fly rivers, set in the dramatic backdrop of the Jura, this beautiful fly water holds a great number of good-sized wild brown trout and grayling. Our guide (french national guiding diploma) will pick you up from Geneva airport and drive to the river (2 hours), and will look after you until your drop off at the airport on the return leg. The hotel on the Doubs is right next to the river. Maximum flexibility is guarranteed. Early starts and late fishing are both available. Pack dinners are available if you wish to fish late into the evening to make the most of the evening hatches. Lunches are generally had in nearby restaurants during the midday slack period. The price includes all fishing permits, local travel (from Geneva airport), accomodation, and meals. Price 1590 euros, based on a party of 3 (i.e. 530 euros/head)
5 Days in the Vercors and Chartreuse Mountains Dates : 24 - 29 May, 9 - 14 June and 21 - 26 June This trip represents a superb opportunity to fish in the splendid scenery of the Vercors national park , a plateau over 1000m above sea level, the Chartreux mountains, home to the famous liquer brewing monks, and the Ardeche. Rivers Fished : River Bourne (Vercors) River Guiers (Chartreuse) River Lignon (Ardeche) Accomodation is in a gite in the Vercors mountains. As with the previous package our guide (french national guiding diploma) will pick you up at the airport, and also drop you off on your return. Maximum flexibility is guarranteed. Early starts and late fishing are both available. Pack dinners are available if you wish to fish late into the evening to make the most of the evening hatches. Lunches are generally had in nearby restaurants during the midday slack period. There are also some small mountain lakes that can be fished after the evening meal if desired.
